Oncology Imaging Systems is thrilled to once again support the upcoming Annual Meeting of the Radiotherapy Pre-Treatment Special Interest Group in London on Friday, 23rd May 2025. This in-person event will run from 9:15 AM to 4:40 PM at The Atrium, Royal Free Hospital, Pond Street, followed by a social event at a nearby venue.
This Annual Meeting brings together therapeutic radiographers with a special interest in the pre-treatment sector. It is designed to encourage the sharing of knowledge and experiences amongst the network, as well as provide peer support and develop valuable resources for training, education and technique development.
A recap on last year’s Annual Meeting
Last year, the Royal Free Hospital in London hosted the inaugural Radiotherapy Pre-Treatment Special Interest Group, an event proudly supported by Oncology Imaging Systems. Organised by James Barber, the event brought together over 100 delegates who shared their knowledge and expertise in radiotherapy pre-treatment.
What to expect at this year’s Annual Meeting
On behalf of Oncology Imaging Systems, team members Josh Imber and Irem Ali will be attending this year's event. The session will be facilitated by James Barber, SIG Chair. It will feature expert speakers from trusts of ULCH, Royal Free, Guys, Royal Berkshire, Mount Vernon, St. Barts GenesisCare, Middleborough, University of Hertfordshire and Sheffield Hallam University.
This year’s Annual Meeting will feature the launch of the Pre-Treatment Student Workbook, led by Jo McNamara, along with key discussions on topics such as:
Breast cancer update: Progressing radiographer practice and technique development
Motion management: What do we know, and what is next?
Progressing contrast administration practice
Exploration of advanced imaging in radiotherapy pre-treatment
