Oncology Imaging Systems to become the distributor for Qfix and CIVCO RT in the UK and Ireland

Following an announcement in October 2022, CIVCO Radiotherapy confirmed that the company would be joining forces with Qfix to create one company with one mission: To Improve Care and Outcomes for Patients and Providers through a Passion for Innovation. The merger of the two companies will provide an improved level of customer services (sales and customer care), new and improved products, and expanded R & D capabilities.

As a result of this news, Oncology Imaging Systems is proud to confirm that it will become the distributor of both CIVCO RT and Qfix products across the UK and Ireland. The announcement was communicated internally in early March 2023 and has been well received by the entire OIS team, whose mission and values strongly align with those of the newly combined company. The OIS team is united by a customer-centric attitude and a patient-first ethos, always putting clinicians and their patients first.

Moving Forward

Xiel Ltd, the existing CIVCO Radiotherapy distributor, will hand over the reins to OIS on the 5th May 2023, making OIS the exclusive distributor of both CIVCO RT and Qfix products from that date. All orders and support enquiries for CIVCO RT products will continue to be processed and responded to by Xiel up until this date. All product warranties will continue to be upheld by the manufacturer.

Xiel is instrumental in supporting OIS with the handover, with all parties involved working closely behind the scenes to ensure a seamless transition. Jack Knight, Managing Director of Xiel, commented, “We have very much enjoyed working with CIVCO RT over the years to serve our radiotherapy customers with high quality equipment ensuring the best level of patient care. We are committed to working closely with OIS during this phase of transition to ensure continuity of supply to the market and most importantly, patients.”

Both Xiel and OIS would like to assure their customers in the UK and Ireland that there will be no break in product availability or after-sales support, regardless of the sales channel or distribution partner through which equipment purchases were made.

“We would like to extend our thanks to Xiel for working together with us to prioritise the needs of the radiotherapy community, clinicians and patients during this transition,” says Steve Imber, Founding Director of OIS. “Maintaining the supply and service continuity that our valued customers have come to expect from us is a core focus for both companies.”
